How do Control Flow devices work?
Control Flow HL2024® devices are pressure independent flow regulators. When fitted to a property they give a smooth and optimal constant flow of water to your home.
By regulating the flow, the device reduces water wastage which can be caused by the fluctuations in pressure and flow that occur throughout the day in the mains system.
Find out more about how Control Flow works.
Where can the devices be fitted?
Control Flow HL2024® devices can be fitted in the meter chamber, next to the stop cock inside your home, or attached to the hot and/or cold inlets to individual outlets.
Can I buy just the product?
We don’t offer devices to buy on their own. We offer a comprehensive turnkey solution tailored to your property needs. We offer a personalised approach, recommending the device(s) best suited to your home.
Do I need to get permission from my water company to have the device fitted?
We will only fit in the meter chamber if we have prior approval from your water company to do so. Any of the devices that are fitted within your property don’t need permission from your water company.

How can fitting these devices help achieve Nutrient Neutrality?
Control Flow HL2024® devices reduce water wastage and therefore water usage in both existing and new build properties. These water savings offset the increase demand for water of a new development ensuring the volume of nutrients created after the properties are built is the same as before.
How many devices do I have to pay to have fitted to achieve Nutrient Neutrality?
Every area has a different nutrient make up, so the number of devices required to achieve nutrient neutrality needs to be calculated on a case-by-case basis.
Are they a verified method of mitigation? Are they approved by Natural England?
We have used Control Flow devices to release over 1,000 houses and several commercial properties that were previously stuck in planning permission. The planning permission was only granted once Natural England approved the devices usage as a mitigation measure.
How can fitting these devices help achieve Water Neutrality?
Control Flow HL2024® devices reduce water wastage and therefore water usage in both existing and new build properties. These water savings offset the increased demand for water of a new development ensuring the volume of water abstracted from water sources is the same after the properties are built as before.
How do I know how many devices need to be fitted to free up my planning?
The number of devices needed will be specific to each project. At the beginning of the project, we will calculate the number of devices your project will require.
Has this method of achieving water neutrality been approved by Natural England?
Working with Crawley Council we have been able to release the planning permission for 750 social houses to be built. This was only achieved when Natural England signed off the use of Control Flow HL2024® devices as a mitigating measure.
We understand that convenience is key, you can expect a call from us during your preferred time slot, where our team will be more than happy to address any questions you may have and provide you with a tailored water or nutrient neutrality solution.
