Micampus wanted to make its university residences more sustainable by saving water and energy. To achieve this, we conducted a pilot test in one of its residences in Valencia.
After seeing the effectiveness of our solutions in the pilot test and the savings generated, they decided to proceed with twenty five of their residences to certify various sustainability standards.
The chosen solutions included Control Flow HL2024® Showersmart at 5 litres/minute for handheld showers, along with other technologies for bathroom and kitchen sink faucets, as well as complete shower systems.
It was estimated that water consumption in showers, sinks, and kitchen faucets was reduced by 40% to 70%. Since part of the saved water is hot water, significantly less energy is needed as well, resulting in double savings.
